Dr. Kalpakian is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. She previously worked as a pediatric psychologist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Kalpakian specializes in ADHD and learning disability testing. Additionally, her expertise is providing therapy to individuals with chronic medical conditions who experience difficulties related to adjustment to illness, coping, and adherence. She also has extensive experience providing individual and group therapy to children and adolescents with disordered eating and/or weight management concerns. Dr. Kalpakian also provides therapy to children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, OCD, adjustment disorders, and behavioral difficulties. She utilizes various treatment approaches to meet client’s needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Parent Management Training, and Motivational Interviewing.
